The fifth annual Making Your Media Matter conference brought together filmmakers, journalists, and media makers of all walks to discuss the role and practice of modern media. The panelists and attendees discussed topics like: money and mission, the ethics of cinema vérité and beautiful films about dark subjects. Representatives from Kartemquin Films, Chimpanzee Productions, and the Sundance Documentary Film Program helped lead discussions.
On February 12-13, the Center for Social Media (CSM) hosted its fifth annual Making Your Media Matter conference at American University's Katzen Arts Center.
