H.L. "Doc" Humes was novelist whose brilliant career spanned about two years, after which he embarked on a series of adventures that are cataloged in Doc, a biographical film directed by Immy Humes, his daughter. One of the challenges of making this film was finding and then sifting through a mountain of archival footage and other source material. "I was constantly collecting, collecting, collecting," Immy Humes says of the process that eventually lasted 16 years. To read an interview with her, click here.
