Johnstown (Pa.) Film Festival call for entries
The Johnstown Film Festival is issuing a call for entries for its fifth annual event. The festival is a film shorts competition; any original film that is 30 minutes or shorter is eligible. Deadline is March 15, and the festival takes place June 16-19, 2010. Complete details at www.johnstownfilmfest.org.

We seek films that are thought-provoking, intriguing, entertaining, vibrant, authentic, artful and informative. From dramatic films to hard-hitting documentaries, comedic shorts, experimental films, or music videos, we invite independent filmmakers to send us their work for consideration. All genres, styles and lengths welcome. Cash awards for winning film entries.
Now in its second year, the 2010 Talking Pictures Festival will take place on May 7 - 9, 2010. The festival will once again draw audience members from across the northern Chicago metro-area to this annual celebration of independent films from around the world.

The Talking Pictures Festival is produced by Percolator Films (www.percolatorfilms.org), a non-profit film organization that also organizes the popular ten-year-old Reeltime film and discussion series.

Soundtrack Composer Available for Low Budget Projects
I'm an award-winning songwriter/producer with
regular placements of my music in major TV and film trailers. I'd like to start doing soundtrack work for film and
related media and am willing to work on a low budget with
independent directors/producers on their projects.I can create more traditional (orchestral) sounding incidental music or electronica, rock, pop, etc. So I can create both incidental music and songs for visual media. I'm easy to work with and can help bring out the emotional power in your project.

International CYNETART competition
Call for Entries for the 14th Festival of computer-based art CYNETART || entry deadline 28.02.2010
TMA Hellerau hosts this international competition of CYNETART, inviting artists and art groups to present their projects, every two years. They can apply with projects that fully utilise digital technologies in their conceptual, creative and performing processes, thereby opening up opportunities for digital performance and their relationship to factors such as time, space, physical presence and social encounters. An international jury with representatives from well-established media culture institutions and experienced scientists with a background in media art history will decide about the winner of the CYNETART-award and the sponsorship award. It will also decide on the award of the artist-in-residence-grant funded by the Saxon Ministry of Science and the Fine Arts.

Now accepting entries for 1078 Gallery Film Festival August 20-22, 2010, A juried, international film festival.

We accept features (40+ minutes) and shorts (40- minutes) in the following categories: Narrative, Documentary, Animation, Work in Progress, Experimental, OtherPrizes • Accepted filmmakers will receive a full pass to the festival. Non-cash awards will be made for all “best” categories (e.g., short, full-length, documentary, animation, in show).
Send DVD (Region 1 or Region-free), Label your DVD with title, contact name, address, phone number, and E-mail. Include a short artist’s statement and bio, and an SASE for return of work. If you would like acknowledgement that your entry has arrived, include a self-addressed stamped postcard with your entry, which we will send back to you.
