  • 3 guys on a couch

We are looking to fill the lead role of our feature length comedy within the next week. Must be able to work weekends, have a flexible schedule, and have good memorization skills (as most shots in the film will be long shots). We are also looking for an attractive female to play a smaller role. Would only need to be present for one or two days of shooting (the female role) so we can work around your schedule.

We require a head shot and resume so please email those to Nick@brokenwallfilms.com or to Steve@brokenwallfilms.com. The first email is preferable.

  • Independent Filmmaker Looking for a DP with Camera to collaborate on Important Project

A team of independent filmmakers are working on a film on the Boston Peace Urban Movement and the larger issues of how race and class affect communiites of color, primarily African American and Native. We are doing this for its importance and do not have a budget for salaries at this point. Needless to say, we will shop it around to film festivals and try to get distribution when the time comes. We feel that the content is worth the effort.

We are looking for a DP who has a digital camera, has a talent and passion for documentary filmmaking, and is willing to work without pay with a very commited crew, and the hopes that we will make money and then be paid accordingly.

If interested please contact us asap. We have something unexpected to shoot this weekend. call 781-885-1606 or email bostonartsproject@gmail.com

  • April 24th: STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE Sneak Preview: Meaningful Media-Melnitz Movies

Join Meaningful Media and Melnitz Movies for a free sneak preview of the new Errol Morris documentary:

    STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE
plus art show, panel discussion and a catered reception

Thursday, April 24th, 7:30 PM @ the UCLA James Bridges Theater (1409 Melnitz Hall).
Free and open to the public. Tickets will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE looks at how twelve photographs from Baghdad’s Abu Ghraib prison changed the war in Iraq and changed America’s image of itself. And yet, a central question remains. Did the notorious Abu Ghraib photographs constitute evidence of systematic torture and abuse by the American military, or were they documenting the aberrant behavior of a few “bad apples”?

Meaningful Media is a non-profit network providing resources to inspire and empower those committed to changing our world through media. Each quarter, Meaningful Media, in association with UCLA’s Melnitz Movies, will host a screening, Q & A and reception for a new socially conscious film that we’re excited to share with our members and the community at large.
